Kurt Cobain’s property has slammed an adaptation of Gus Van Sant’s dramatized movie Final Days by London’s Royal Opera Home, saying the manufacturing is an “unauthorized try” to proceed exploiting the fictionalized story of the late singer’s remaining days.
“Final Days has been created and written with out permission,” the property stated in a press release. “This present, identical to the film, is an unauthorized try to learn from the transient assembly arrange with Kurt and Gus Van Zant. The opera was composed by Oliver Leith, the composer-in-residence for the ROH and Guildhall Faculty of Music and Drama, with the libretto by Matt Copson. Copson co-directed it with Anna Morrisey. It facilities round a musician named Blake, who serves as Cobain’s stand-in.
