The Nationwide Centre for Early Music (NCEM) is celebrating Worldwide Ladies’s Day in type this 12 months with a brand new composition Rossignolet by NCEM Composer Award winner Sarah Cattley, commissioned by BBC Radio 3 and offered by the all-female instrumentalists Ensemble Moliere (Radio 3 New Era Baroque Ensemble) at a lunchtime live performance to be broadcast at 1.30pm on Wednesday 8 March. On the live performance the ensemble might be joined by soprano Ruby Hughes for a programme that additionally contains music by three 18th century French composers, Mademoiselle Laurent, Mademoiselle Duval and Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre.
