It appears that evidently on daily basis brings information of some horrible, unsettling occasion on the earth – the whole lot from mindless bombings in Ukraine to crime sprees in our cities to blizzards and floods that cripple cities and take lives.
How can we make sense of all of it, discover the power to assist others, and proceed to see the nice on the earth?
We simply discovered an answer that labored for us at the moment, and maybe it will probably give you the results you want too. We listened to a brand new Naxos recording of two Mozart plenty: the “Nice” Mass Ok. 427 and the “Spaurmass” Missa Brevis Ok. 258. The performances are glorious, from the Cologne Chamber Orchestra and Radio Choir, carried out by Christoph Poppen. The advantageous soloists are Katherine Konradi, Sarah Romberger, Martin Mitterrutzner and Mikhail Timoshenko.
However past the excellence of those performances, in them we are able to hear the voice of Mozart telling us that one thing actually is sweet on the earth. It’s that very same voice of his we hear in his Requiem, in his chamber music, in his concertos and symphonies and operas.
So why not enrich our day with one thing elegant? And “elegant” is the fitting phrase to explain these deeply reassuring new Mozart recordings from Naxos.
