Maia from mxmtoon launched her first EP in 2018. She was 18 and recorded it in her bed room, and self-released it. It went on to be streamed over 100 million instances. This yr, she put out her second album, Rising. And on this episode, she breaks down her track “Mona Lisa.” She advised me about how totally different it’s from the songs she used to write down when she was teenager. And the way she discovered one thing genuine and trustworthy by connecting with part of herself from even earlier in her life.
