Eat. Be taught. Play. co-founders Stephen and Ayesha Curry shocked volunteers and college students at Laurel Elementary College on Thursday for unveiling their ninth schoolyard challenge. In collaboration with group companions, the initiative remodeled the college’s playspace right into a vibrant and fascinating space for college kids to play, study, and develop. The revamped schoolyard consists of multi-sport courts, a kid-designed playground, a mural challenge, and an immersive nature exploration space with a Little City Library.
The Currys kicked off the day by packing Christmas reward containers full of culturally affirming books for over 17,000 Oakland Unified College District elementary college students to be delivered in December. The day concluded with a closing ceremony, the place the couple expressed gratitude for the 170+ volunteers and introduced a beneficiant reward of over 500 tickets to The Lion King Broadway present for the whole scholar physique and college workers at Laurel Elementary College, in partnership with Champion Charities.
