Pete Townshend is to hitch Roger Daltrey in an acoustic set on the live performance celebrating famend artist Sir Peter Blake’s ninetieth birthday.
The live performance will happen on the Royal Competition Corridor, London on Friday 2 December and can embody Insanity, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Chrissie Hynde and Baxter Dury with compere John Wilson of BBC Radio 4. The live performance is being curated by Paul Weller, who stated in an announcement, “We’re coming to have fun this good artist who has given us all a lot for over 70 years! Thanks Peter!”
Sir Peter Blake, considered the Godfather of British Pop Artwork has had a protracted affiliation with the world of rock’n’roll. Most of us will know him, after all, for the album cowl he created along with his then-wife Jann Haworth for The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Membership Band in 1967.
Different notable album covers he has designed are Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da for Insanity, Cease The Clocks for Oasis, Stanley Street for Paul Weller, Me and Mr Johnson for Eric Clapton and Getting In Over My Head for Brian Wilson.
Peter Blake designed the quilt for The Who’s 1981 album Face Dances and, extra lately, their 2019 album, WHO.
All proceeds from the occasion shall be break up between the Teenage Most cancers Belief and the Graeae Theatre Firm of whom Blake is a patron.

Tickets went on sale on 21 October and have been bought out in a matter of days.
